The club took shape and was launched on February 15, 2004 during an Annual District Rotaract Conference by then World Rotaract Chairman Rtn. Philly Kirani. Yes, the Rotaract Club of East Coast is supposed to be the only club that has the honour of getting launched by a sitting World Rotaract Chairman in a District Conference.

Having launched, the club had a determination of promoting friendship and betterment of its members and the society as well and the club theme says the same - “Commitment towards betterment”. The club has successfully two full years of its functioning with the third year coming to a close on Feb 14, 2007. The relationship between the members had grown up strong and the club has a count 31 members as on date. The club is getting stronger and stronger day by day and is heading towards glorious years. The club is also focusing strongly towards corporate governance which would be a feather in its cap.
